LeT terrorist arrested in J-K's Shopian, arms and ammunition recovered

Police on Sunday stated that they had detained an active terrorist connected to the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) organisation in the Shopian area of Jammu and Kashmir.

Arms and ammunition were recovered from terrorist Adil Gani Dar. “A proscribed terrorist organisation LeT member and active terrorist Adil Gani Dar was detained in the hamlet of Mohandpora Shopian, ” Shopian Police tweeted.

After conducting a search operation on Saturday 27 close to the Sheeri Police Station in the Baramulla district, Jammu and Kashmir Police detained one terrorist affiliated with the banned group Lashkar E Taiba (LeT).

A search operation was set to target Pakistan-based militants.

In the Wanseeran Taripora forest region of the Sheeri Police Station in the Baramulla district, the Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir police together conducted a search and cordon operation. In response to information concerning potential terrorist hideouts, the police and army together conducted a search and cordon operation in the Wanseeran Taripora bush region.
