Varalaxmi Sarathkumar Gets Engaged to Gallerist Nicholai Sachdev, Photos Go Viral

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is one of the most popular names in Tamil cinema. The star is loved by many because of her strong performances and striking screen presence. The ‘Podaa Podi’ actor is now in the limelight for a sweet reason.

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar  recently got engaged to Nicholai Sachdev, a Mumbai-based gallerist. Ramesh Bala, a trade analyst, shared  photos from the ceremony on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Varalaxmi sported an Ivory silk saree. Nicholai Sachdev, on the other hand, opted for a Kattu.

Ramesh Bala also posted a note about the couple’s future plans. He added that the two are likely to tie the knot later this year. 

The note read: “Actor Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and gallerist Nicholai Sachdev got engaged in an intimate ceremony in the presence of family and close friends held in Mumbai on the 1st of March. Varalaxmi and Nicholai, who have known each other for the past 14 years, exchanged rings with the blessings of their parents. The couple is excited to plan their wedding, scheduled to take place later this year.”

Varalaxmi, actor Sarathkumar’s daughter, began her career with ‘Podaa Podi’ (2012). She soon made a name for herself with her work in films such as ‘Vikram Vedha’, ‘Kasaba’, ‘Sarkar’, and ‘Krack’.

She was recently seen the Telugu blockbuster ‘HanuMan’. The Prashanth Varma-directed flick centres on the events that unfold when a youngster gets Lord Hanuman’s powers. A sequel is in the works.

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will also be seen in ‘Raayan’, starring Dhanush. It is set to hit screens later this year. The cast includes Sundeep Kishan, Prakash Raj, and SJ Suryah.
