Shiv Sena's Priyanka Chaturvedi calls for suspending MNS workers caught on camera assaulting woman

Priyanka Chaturvedi, a Shiv Sena lawmaker, asked on Thursday that the MNS employees who were captured on camera harassing, shoving, and punching an elderly woman in Maharashtra be fired.

Priyanka Chaturvedi, a Shiv Sena lawmaker, asked on Thursday that the MNS employees who were captured on camera harassing, shoving, and punching an elderly woman in Maharashtra be fired.

According to Priyanka Chaturvedi, “Absolutely inappropriate and dishonourable behaviour. It is not a culture of Maharashtra. He (the MNS leader) ought to formally apologise to all Maharashtrian women. I beg Raj Thackeray, the MNS leader, to remove him from all party positions.”

In a frightening incident earlier on Thursday, a guy was spotted assaulting and striking a woman in Mumbai’s Kamathipura neighbourhood. When a video became viral on August 28, the event came to light. Over the installation of bamboo poles in front of the woman’s store without her permission, a fight broke out.

After a video of a man harassing, shoving, and punching an elderly woman went viral on social media, Nagpada Police on Thursday detained three MNS employees.

Vinod Argyle, Raju Argyle, and Satish Lad have been named as the defendants by the Mumbai police.

Under IPC criminal section 7’s sections 323, 337, 506, and 504,509, the police have filed a complaint.

The victim and a Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) worker got into a fight, according to the police, because the accused was putting up bamboo in front of the victim’s business to hang a banner welcoming Ganesh enthusiasts when a woman objected.
