Former Kerala MLA PC George stated on Thursday that the actress, who was abducted and sexually tortured by a gang of men in 2017, including Malayalam actor Dileep, did not suffer any loss and, in fact, benefited professionally as a result of the event.

George made the comment while speaking to the media at an event while out on bail in a sexual assault investigation. “I don’t believe she experienced any loss as a result of the incident.” If the incident was real, the loss she had experienced as a woman would have been enormous, yet she received professional advantages,” the senior lawmaker remarked.

According to the news agency, George even made fun of the term “survivor” while referring to the case. “The survivor is receiving a lot of films right now… “My view is that she received benefits in other areas,” claimed the former MLA, who is notorious for making contentious statements in high-profile cases.

According to the post, George even slammed reporters who questioned his statements on the subject.

Previously, the senior lawmaker, who served in the Poonjar Assembly for almost three decades, made similar remarks about the survivor and publicly supported Dileep, the eighth accused in the case.

He was recently detained in connection with a sexual assault case and for making anti-minority remarks.

According to police, the accused molested the actress, who has acted in Tamil and Telugu films in addition to Malayalam, inside her car for two hours on the night of February 17, 2017, and then fled in a crowded location.

The accused recorded the act. In the case, there are ten suspects, seven of them were initially detained. Dileep was later arrested and released on bail.
