ITV network organised first edition of We Women Want and Shakti Award conclave on August 24. ITV honored the unwavering determination and courage of acid attack survivors.
Manini Bisoyi, Anshu Rajput and Ritu Saini who are acid attack survivor associated with Chhanv Foundation were present in event.
While orating struggle story, Manini Bisoi showed regret that it was too late for her to believe in herself. She said, “Got confidence to show myself in the society very late”.
Ritu Sain broached her experience of working with Deepika Padukon “Worked with Deepika Padukone, she helped me & never made me feel different”, she said. Ritu Saini gives details of her life after the heinous acid attack crime and said ‘Today society respects me, change from days when society demotivated me’.
Anshu Rajput shared her story and mentioned, “Society where I grew up isolated & passed comments on me”.
