The Ankit Saxena Murder Case of 2018, gets latest news development as the Delhi Court has awarded life life sentence to the three convicts of the case.

Ankit, aged 23, was fatally stabbed by the relatives (including his girlfriend’s mother, father, uncle, and younger brother) of his partner, with whom he had been in a relationship for three years. Initially, all four accused were remanded to judicial custody in relation to the incident.

In the Ankit Saxena Murder Case, Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court has sentenced three convicts to life imprisonment. Additionally, each convict has been fined Rs 50,000. The order on sentencing and compensation for the victim, reserved by Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Sunil Kumar Sharma, is set for March 7, 2024.

The Additional Public Prosecutor, representing the Delhi police, advocated for the maximum punishment of death penalty for the convicts on charges of murder.

The Ankit Saxena Murder Case dates back five years to 2018. Ankit, aged 23, was tragically killed in west Delhi, allegedly by his girlfriend’s family, in front of his parents. He was stabbed and had his throat slit with a sharp weapon.

The incident occurred while Saxena, a photographer, was en route to meet his girlfriend. He was intercepted by her family in Raghubir Nagar, leading to a verbal altercation. Saxena was then assaulted by the girl’s father and uncle, before the father stabbed him and slit his throat.

Ankit and the girl had been in a relationship for over two years. Reports indicate that the girl’s family had previously warned him to end the relationship.
