"Have to build developed India": PM Modi in poll-bound Karnataka

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Karnataka on Thursday. He laid the foundation stone of projects worth crores here in the Yadgiri district. PM Modi participated in the foundation stone laying and inauguration programs of various development projects related to irrigation, drinking water and national highway development projects at Kodakal. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai was also present during this. PM Modi also inaugurated the Raipur Left Bank Canal- Expansion, Renovation and Modernization Project.

PM Modi said that Lakhs of farmers of Kalaburagi, Yadgiri and Vijaypur districts would get direct benefits from the Narayanpur Left Bank Canal expansion. He said the work on the part of the Surat-Chennai Economic Corridor, which falls in Karnataka, has also started today. This will also increase the ease of living in Kalaburagi and Yadgiri.

The Prime Minister said the way work is being done fast for the development of North Karnataka is commendable. I appreciate Chief Minister CM Bommai for this. The Prime Minister said our government started the Aspirational District Program in more than 100 such districts of the country, including Yadgiri. We emphasized good governance in these districts and started work on every scale of development. The best example of how the double-engine government works is the Har Ghar Jal Abhiyan.

Prime Minister Modi said 75 years of India’s independence had been completed. Now the country is moving forward to fulfil the new resolutions for the next 25 years. This time is nectar for every state and every person. In this period, we have to build a developed India. He said India could develop when every citizen of the country, every family, and every state joins this campaign.
