"KCR Wanted To Join NDA, Denied Him", Says PM Modi In Telangana

PM Modi asserted that if the BJP comes to power, it will expose the corruption of the BRS government.

While addressing a gathering in Telangana, Prime Minister Modi took a hardline stance against the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and its leader and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). PM Modi alleged that KCR had sought to join the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) and seek the BJP’s support following the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections, but the offer was declined due to the actions of KCR’s ruling administration.

Addressing a rally, PM Modi unveiled what he called a previously undisclosed secret. He recounted the events following the BJP’s victory in 48 seats in the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation election, highlighting a change in KCR’s demeanor. He explained that before the election, KCR used to welcome him at the airport, but this hospitality ceased abruptly.

PM Modi disclosed that KCR came to meet him in Delhi and expressed admiration for the progress under Modi’s leadership. KCR expressed a desire to join the NDA and sought PM Modi’s support. However, PM Modi asserted that due to KCR’s actions, he could not associate with him and consequently declined the offer of entry into the NDA.

PM Modi emphasized the BJP’s commitment to the people of Telangana, asserting that the 48 seats won in the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections in December 2020 marked the beginning of a transformation for Telangana’s fate.

He further revealed that KCR approached him again, stating his intention to hand over all responsibilities to his son, KT Rama Rao (KTR), and sought PM Modi’s blessings. PM Modi reminded KCR that it is a democratic process, and the people of Telangana will decide their successor.

In reference to KCR’s absence from his functions, PM Modi insinuated that those involved in corruption cannot be in his company and are evading his presence.

PM Modi asserted that if the BJP comes to power, it will expose the corruption of the BRS government.
