UP Budget: CM Yogi praises Bundelkhand's defensive corridor budget proposal of Rs 400cr

After Finance Minister Suresh Khanna presented the state’s budget for 2022-2023 in the state Assembly on Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the proposed spending of Rs 400 crores for the construction of the General Bipin Rawat Defence and Industrial Corridor in Bundelkhand.

In a statement, CM stated “In Bundelkhand, we have requested a budget of Rs 400 crore for the development of the General Bipin Rawat Defence and Industrial Corridor. We also suggest establishing anti-corruption organization units in each of the state’s eight divisions.”

He emphasized the state’s plans to expand the ‘one district, one product’ system, saying, “We propose spending over Rs 200 crores in the state to promote the scheme. A budget of Rs 300 crores has been suggested for optical fibre cable network development.”

Meanwhile, the state’s budget for 2022-2023, according to the Finance Minister, would be focused on infrastructure, job creation, youth, and women.
