Varanasi Court adjourns the matter of the Gyanvapi mosque till 30th May, Monday.

The court, today considered Anjuman Intezemia Masjid Committee’s Order 7 Rule 11 application, which seeks to have the plaint filed by Hindu women dismissed as banned by the Places of Worship Act.

According to the Lawyer from Hindu, Advocate Vishnu Jain stated that the Muslim side on today’s hearing just read out paragraphs from our petition and attempted to argue that it was unmaintainable. We intervened and reminded the court that we had certain rights and that all pleadings had been filed.

Meanwhile, today’s arguments were unable to be concluded. As a result, the debates will resume at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 30th.
