Central Government notifies implementation of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA)……

The Ministry of Home Affairs announced today (on March 11th) the issuance of the rules for the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), setting the stage for its nationwide enforcement. It is noteworthy that the CAA formed a crucial component of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s agenda during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and was enacted by Parliament on December 11, 2019, following the commencement of Modi government 2.0.
