The majority mark in the state is 100. The voter turnout for the elections was 74.96%, slightly surpassing the figures from the 2018 polls. The polling, conducted on November 25 in the mainly direct contest between the Congress and the BJP to form a new government in the desert state, was largely peaceful, barring sporadic clashes in some parts. Of the state’s total 200 Assembly seats, polling was held in 199, after the Congress candidate from Karanpur passed away.
