36 foreign nationals deported under criminal cases this month in Delhi's Dwarka

In the first three weeks of July 2022, Dwarka district police in Delhi made up to 36 arrests in total and clamped down on foreigners who were reportedly living in India illegally as well as those who were allegedly involved in drug trafficking, according to authorities.

As per the reports, 21 foreign nationals were deported by the operation cells of the Dwarka police; 11 were charged under section 14A of the Foreigner Act and 4 were detained for drug offences under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

Due to increased surveillance, the teams from Dwarka Police stations moved quickly to apprehend foreign nationals who were wandering or dwelling illegally within the Dwarka region of Delhi. Additionally, foreign people implicated in narcotics trafficking were captured by the squads.

M. Harsh Vardhan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Dwarka, oversaw the action.

Two accused drug dealers who are citizens of Nigeria were apprehended by a team of police officers from the Mohan Garden Police Station and two other teams from the Anti-Narcotics Cell in the Dwarka District. 1.05 kilos of high-quality heroin were found during the police’s initial search. The NDPS Act led to the arrest and booking of accused Emmanual Job and Frank.

“Two teams of Police officials from the Anti-Narcotics Cell, Dwarka District, comprising HC Dinesh, HC Kuldeep, HC Sushil, HC Hetram, Ct Ravi, and Ct Mukesh have done a commendable job by arresting 02 Nigerian Nationals who are drug dealers with the recovery of a commercial quantity of Heroin and Amphetamine from their possession,” stated M Harsh.

For the first three weeks of July, Dwarka district police operation was underway.
