Chinese woman today was found posing as a citizen of Nepal is now taken under custody from the nation’s capital by the police’s special cell squad. Officials further stated that she allegedly engaged in anti-national conduct.

According to the Delhi police, searches based on the information gathered led to the arrest of Chinese woman known as Cai Ruo in Majnu Ka Tila, Delhi. The apprehended foreign individual was discovered living in India under a false Nepalese identity.

Officials further stated that ” The Chinese woman was taken into custody on Monday at approximately 1:00 pm, in Majnu Ka Tila, Delhi. One Nepalese citizenship document with the name of Dolma Lama, a resident of Kathmandu, Nepal, was found in her hands during verification.”

Furthermore, the Foreign Regional Registration Office (FRRO) discovered that the arrested person is a Chinese citizen and had previously traveled to India under Chinese nationality in 2019.

Earlier on October 17, a case was filed against her under sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Foreigners Act that apply, including sections 120 B (criminal conspiracy), 419 (cheating by personation), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 467 (forgery of valuable security), and other pertinent sections.

The Chinese woman will be held in police custody for 14 days.

According to authorities, further information is being collected.
