PM Modi to address conference of law ministers today

PM Modi today will attend the All India Conference of Law Ministers and Law Secretaries.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today will give a video speech to the All India Conference of Law Ministers and Law Secretaries.

Ministry of Law and Justice is hosting the two-day conference at Gujarat’s Ekta Nagar. According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the conference’s goal is to give decision-makers a place to debate topics pertaining to the Indian legal and judicial systems.

State and union territory law secretaries and ministers will be present.

Through this conference, states and union territories will be able to exchange fresh ideas, discuss their best practices, and enhance their cooperation.

The conference will feature talks on issues including enhancing access to justice, updating the broader legal infrastructure, and using alternative conflict resolution techniques like arbitration and mediation for speedy and economical justice.

There will also be a discussion on lowering case pending times and guaranteeing prompt resolution, standardising state bill proposal language for improved center-state coordination, and bolstering state legal systems.
