Military chopper crashes near Upper Siang district in Arunachal

A military helicopter crashed today close to Singging hamlet in the Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh

A military helicopter crashed on Friday close to Singging hamlet in the Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh, 25 kilometres from the Tuting headquarters.

According to the Defence PRO in Guwahati, an Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) crashed this morning at 10:40 am in the Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The Upper Siang Police Superintendent Jummar Basar stated that, “The accident scene is not connected by a road. All additional information is expected, and a rescue squad has been dispatched.”

Earlier on October 5, a Cheetah helicopter crash in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, claimed the life of an Indian Army pilot.

According to Army sources “Around 10:00 AM, a Cheetah helicopter that was flying in the front areas close to Tawang crashed during a normal sortie. The closest military hospital was contacted for the evacuation of both pilots.”
