Mumbai police on Wednesday got a “suspicious” call from an unknown number alleging that explosives have been installed at numerous significant locations around Mumbai.

After receiving bomb threats from the unknown caller at multiple locations, Mumbai Police increased their surveillance and alertness. According to authorities, the strange phone call was received on the emergency number 112.

As per police officials, the unknown caller stated that three explosives had been hidden in the city at the Sahara Hotel Airport, PVR Mall Juhu, and Infinity Mall Andheri. However, after receiving the call these targeted locations now have tighter protection. Meanwhile, efforts to find the unknown caller are now being made.

Earlier this year in April, a similar threat call was made where a Karnataka school got a bomb threat in the midst of the continuing hijab controversy.
