While the Aam Aadmi Party was campaigning in Gujarat, raids were conducted on AAP in the national capital and AAP’s office in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Kejriwal through a tweet said that the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) was shaken by the response and support his party was getting in poll-bound Gujarat. Hence, conducting raids in Gujarat after Delhi.

AAP’s Gujarat unit leader Isudan Gadhvi in a tweet said “The Gujarat Police raided AAP’s Ahmedabad office as soon as Kejriwal reached Ahmedabad. Searched for two hours, found nothing, and said will come back again.”

Kejriwal’s reply to the tweet read, “We are staunch honest and patriotic people”.

In the scrimmage between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government and Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor (L-G) Vinai Kumar Saxena, L-G has taken a toll on the AAP government over the alleged anomalies that appeared in the purchase of 1,000 Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) low-floor buses.

The AAP government discharged the claims made by the L-G, stating that Saxena was trying to distract people. Saxena sanctioned a proposal to advance a complaint to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to investigate the alleged corruption in the procurement of the buses on Sunday.

It didn’t take much time before the matter escalated and became a political turmoil. The AAP alleged that the L-G was manufacturing false and baseless corruption charges against the reigning Delhi government.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal went on two days Gujarat visit recently to promote his Aam Aadmi Party for the upcoming Gujarat elections. Kejriwal announced year-long jobs with job quotas for Gujaratis and planned army recruitments. He assured that eighty percent of private jobs will go to the people from the state.

CM Kejriwal said job appointments will begin within the first year of their government’s rule giving the example of Punjab and Delhi. Kejriwal said, “We changed Delhi, we’re changing Punjab, and now we’ll change Gujarat”.
