Shaitaan Box-Office: Will Ajay Devgn Starrer Enter The 100-Crore Club? Film Rakes-In Rs 88 Crore On Day 5

Shaitaan registered an overall 13.38% Hindi occupancy on Day 5, with Mumbai leading, followed by Delhi

Shaitaan, the supernatural horror-thriller, experienced a significant drop in its box office performance on Monday, with the downward trend persisting on Tuesday following a remarkable weekend. The Bollywood film made an impressive debut on March 8, its release date, and maintained steady progress until its fourth day, when its business saw a decline.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie accumulated ₹61.25 crore net in its five-day theatrical run. On its fifth day, March 12, the horror-thriller garnered ₹6.50 crore net.

Vikas Bahl’s directorial venture earned ₹14.75 crore net in India on its opening day. By day 2, Saturday, the collection surged to ₹18.75 crore, marking a 27.12% growth from its release day.

The film continued its upward trajectory on day 3, Sunday, with collections reaching ₹20.5 crore net, a 9.33% increase. Consequently, the movie produced by Panorama Studios and Jio Studios amassed ₹39.25 crore net in its first weekend.

The total net box office collection in India now stands at ₹68.13 crore, with an additional ₹15.25 crore from the overseas market, resulting in a worldwide gross box office collection of ₹88 crore.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, in a social media post on platform X (formerly Twitter), remarked, “After a stellar performance in its opening weekend, #Shaitaan maintains robust numbers on the decisive Day 4 [Mon]… Fri 15.21 cr, Sat 19.18 cr, Sun 20.74 cr, Mon 7.81 cr. Total: ₹ 62.94 cr….#Shaitaan aims for ₹ 82 cr [approximately] in Week 1.”

Regarding occupancy, Shaitaan registered an overall 13.38% Hindi occupancy on Day 5, with Mumbai leading, followed by Delhi. Apart from Ajay Devgn, the film features R Madhavan, Jyothika, Janki Bodiwala, and Anngad Raaj.
