During G20, Amazon, Flipkart, and Food Deliveries Halted in New Delhi District

The G20 Leaders’ Summit in New Delhi will lead to restrictions on online and commercial services for 3 days, including cloud kitchens, markets, and food deliveries.

Due to the high-profile G20 Leaders’ Summit happening from September 9-10 at the new Bharat Mandapam convention center in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi district will experience various restrictions. These restrictions include a suspension of all online and commercial services, encompassing cloud kitchens, commercial establishments, markets, food and commercial deliveries, for three days.

The Delhi Police announced on Monday that, as part of heightened security measures for the upcoming G20 Summit, no delivery services or commercial activities, except medical services, will be permitted in the New Delhi district. The restrictions will be enforced from September 8 to 10, coinciding with the mega event’s dates, which will bring together 40 heads of state and other dignitaries to the capital.

However, essential medical deliveries, such as lab reports and sample collections, will continue citywide. Additionally, vehicles related to vital functions in the New Delhi District, like those for hotels, hospitals, housekeeping, catering, and waste disposal, will be allowed with verification

Emergency services, including ambulances, will operate on all routes, with separate corridors designated for them to ensure uninterrupted service. Metro services will also continue to operate except for the Supreme Court station.

Additionally, all Central government offices in the national capital will be closed from September 8 to 10 in light of the G20 summit.
