The police have also begun looking into the situation.

Vadodara Police’s Joint Commissioner of Police, Chirag Kordiya stated, “Yesterday in Vadodara, fighting broke out between two factions during a procession honouring Lord Ganesh. The neighbourhood of Panigate is tranquil. I urge the general people to disregard rumours. Police are looking into the situation.”

Earlier this year, on the dates of Hanuman Jayanti and Ram Navami, violence between two communities erupted in different regions of the nation.

On April 16 this year, at Hanuman Jayanti festival in Jahangir Puri in New Delhi, as well as during Ram Navami celebrations in the states of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Madhya Pradesh.

In processions in numerous states, worshippers were fired at with firearms, and stones were thrown at them, injuring them and causing racial conflict.
