The Mathura Civil court today will hear the review petition on Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Masjid dispute.

The Mathura Civil court today will hear the review petition on Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Masjid dispute.

The hearing will happen at the district judge’s court regarding the appointment of court commissioner. The court will hear the revision petition which was filed by Mahendra Pratap Singh. The hearing will be held after 2 pm.

Earlier, on July 5, the Civil Court heard two petitions in connection with the matter. One of the petitions demanded the removal of Shahi Idgah from the disputed place and handing it back to the Hindus. The other petition demanded that the Court order protection of evidence of the temple present in the mosque.

Yesterday, the Varanasi district court dismissed the mosque committee’s argument that the case is not maintainable and said that it will continue to hear a petition seeking daily worship of Hindu deities.

The decision was welcomed wholeheartedly by the Hindu community which has now sparked hopes for the Idgah-Krishna Janmbhoomi hearing today.
