Manik Saha to replace Biplab Deb as the new Chief Minister of Tripura

Manik Saha, is set to become the next Chief Minister of Tripura as the result of his unanimous election as the leader of the BJP Legislative Party after Biplab Deb’s resignation from the post.

Rajya Sabha MP and Tripura unit chief of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Manik Saha, is set to become the next Chief Minister of the state as the result of his unanimous election as the leader of the BJP Legislative Party after Biplab Deb’s resignation from the post.

Congratulating Saha on his appointment as the CM of Tripura, Biplab Deb said in a tweet, “Congratulations and best wishes to @DrManikSaha2 ji on being elected as the legislature party leader. I believe under PM Shri @narendramodi Ji’s vision and leadership Tripura will prosper.”

After tendering his resignation, Deb took to Twitter to thank the central leadership of the BJP and the people of Tripura for granting him the opportunity to serve as the state’s Chief Minister. “I thank Central leadership & people of Tripura for giving me the responsibility to serve Tripura as a Chief Minister. I have wholeheartedly served my State & will always work for the betterment of my State. Tripura shall definitely march ahead in the path of devt. Jai Hind,” tweeted Biplab Deb.
