Leading up to the Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi proclaimed on Sunday that the groundwork for a third term had commenced. Speaking at a massive rally in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, PM Modi stated, “Our administration has already initiated preparations for the next term. We are charting out a plan for the next five years. Progress is swiftly underway regarding the significant decisions we must make in the initial 100 days.”

He emphasized, “In the past decade, you have only witnessed the preview of development; now, our aim is to propel the nation much further.” Asserting the significance of the 2024 election, he declared, “The forthcoming election is not merely about forming a government. It’s about sculpting a developed India. The mandate of 2024 will position India as the world’s third-largest economic powerhouse.”

PM Modi underscored the nation’s advancements over the last decade, proclaiming, “India’s moment has arrived, and the country has embarked on a journey.” He highlighted the rapid development of modern infrastructure, unprecedented investment, and burgeoning opportunities for youth across sectors. He also noted the rising influence of women in various spheres, stating, “Today, India’s credibility stands at unprecedented levels, garnering global admiration.”

Addressing poverty alleviation initiatives, PM Modi shared, “Having risen from poverty myself, I understand the anguish and struggles of every underprivileged individual. Thus, we have devised schemes to address their concerns and restore their dignity.”

Highlighting the empowerment of women, he said, “We have nurtured women entrepreneurs, with 10 crore women now participating in self-help groups. It was my vision, and I guarantee that 3 crore women will achieve financial success.”

PM Modi reiterated his commitment to eradicating poverty as India progresses to become the third-largest economy. He remarked, “When India was the 11th largest economy, poverty rates soared. As we climbed to the 5th position, over 25 crore people escaped poverty. I assure you, upon becoming the 3rd largest economy, poverty will not only be eradicated but a ‘new middle class’ will drive India’s growth.”

Taking a swipe at the opposition coalition, particularly the INDIA bloc, PM Modi asserted, “We initiated the battle against corruption. They formed the INDI bloc, hoping to intimidate me with the fear of defeat. However, India is my family, and I fear nothing.”

He concluded, “Those involved in corruption are now behind bars, without respite even from the highest court.”
