Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are set to light up the PSL 2026 as Peshawar Zalmi and Rawalpindi Pindiz clash at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium. The two stars will be leading their respective teams in the third game of the Pakistan Super League 2026. It is a day game in Lahore as it is the first double-header of the season.
Peshawar Zalmi has a strong batting lineup let by their skipper Babar Azam. Azam will be joined by international marquee players like Brian Bennett, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, and Kusal Mendis. Among local talents, the Zalmi squad boasts among their ranks batters like Mohammad Haris, Abdul Samad, and Iftikhar Ahmed.
To provide balance to the side, Michael Bracewell and Aamer Jamal would take up the crucial role of all-rounders in the clash. Khurram Shahzad, Sufiyan Muqeem, Ali Raza, and Shahnawaz Dahani will feature in an all-Pakistani bowling attack for the Babar Azam-led side.
Formerly Sialkot Stallionz, Rawalpindi Pindiz will be led by Mohammad Rizwan. Rizwan will not only open the innings but will don the wicketkeeping gloves as well. Aussie opening batter, Usman Khawaja, would be expected to join him at the top of the ther order. Starts the over with a couple of brace, does Michael Bracewell. Naseem Shah concedes a six to Aamir Jamal and oversteps to give a free-hit. Run-a-ball 9 required now. A wide from Naseem has brought it down to 8 off 9. The free hit still remains. A boundary for Jamal and it’s almost job done for Zalmi and they need only a couple. Scores are level at the end of the 19th over. Zalmi are 214/5 after 19 overs. It’s Asif Afridi to bowl the final over and all Zalmi require is one delivery to get over the line. Aamir...
And yet again, the first ball of the over goes for a maximum, allowing Peshawar Zalmi to settle in. 31 off 15 deliveries now but that has reduced to 27 off 14 balls after Abdul Samad hits another boundary. Samad also hits a six as Zalmi now require only 21 off 13 deliveries. Is there another twist or Zalmi will win on a canter? There seems to be a twist as Mohammad Amir has dismissed Samad for 33 against the run of play. Zalmi are 194/5 after 18 overs.
Michael Bracewell looks like a man on a mission here!! He starts the 17th over bowled by Naseem Shah with a maximum. But Naseem has kept things quiet in the next three balls, conceding only singles. But Abdul Samad wasn’t going to let that continue and smashes another six. Another big over, 16 off it. Peshawar Zalmi are 175/4 after 17 overs.
A Six to start the 16th over of the innings as Abdul Samad comes up with a mighty hit. This time it’s Bracewell as deposits the fourth delivery of the over for a maximum, followed by a boundary. Are Peshawar Zalmi mounting a comeback? 18 off the over as Zalmi are 159/4 in 16 overs.

Michael Bracewell clobbers a much-needed boundary in the 15th over. But Peshawar Zalmi need a lot more of them. Bracewell plays a dot but picks up another boundary to shift the pressure onto the opposition. A productive over for Zalmi as the 11-run over keeps them just in the game.
