"Congress' Jairam Ramesh: Modi's Guarantee Period Nearing its End"

PM Modi has emphasized ‘Modi Guarantee’ as a pivotal campaign slogan, initially introducing the term during the inauguration of Bharat Mandapam in Delhi on July 26. It has become a cornerstone of the BJP’s campaign.

Congress General Secretary overseeing Communications, Jairam Ramesh, raised objections on Tuesday regarding the BJP’s slogan ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’, asserting that the term ‘guarantee’ was initially employed by Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Jairam Ramesh indicated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assurance period is drawing to a close after the upcoming general elections. He highlighted the fulfillment of commitments made in Telangana and Karnataka, questioning the origin of the term ‘guarantee’. Ramesh underscored that the usage of the term was not initiated by Narendra Modi but by Rahul Gandhi during the Karnataka assembly elections. He questioned the significance of offering guarantees when Modi’s tenure is approaching its end.

PM Modi has emphasized ‘Modi Guarantee’ as a pivotal campaign slogan, initially introducing the term during the inauguration of Bharat Mandapam in Delhi on July 26. It has become a cornerstone of the BJP’s campaign.

Nevertheless, opposition leaders have previously criticized the ‘Modi’s guarantee’ slogan. TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee, denouncing “Modi ki guarantee” as having no assurance, labeled BJP leaders as “outsiders and anti-Bengal”, accusing them of only visiting the state during elections. Banerjee, the TMC national general secretary, asserted that the people of the state will respond strongly during the Lok Sabha elections to the BJP’s withholding of funds from the state. Speaking at the ‘Jana Garjan Sabha’ rally at Brigade Parade grounds, he reiterated Mamata Banerjee and the TMC’s commitment to fulfilling promises, contrasting it with the BJP’s alleged neglect of Bengal’s interests.
