Senior Advisor to President Biden Amos Hochstein and Israel’s Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant met on Tuesday at the Ministry of Defense Headquarters in Tel Aviv. In order to safely return Israel’s displaced communities to their homes in the north, the parties talked about the threat that Hezbollah continues to pose and the necessity to alter the security situation in the region.
Regarding this, Minister Gallant stressed that Hezbollah’s hostility is pushing the parties into a risky escalation while expressing the defense establishment’s commitment to the ongoing effort headed by Mr. Hochstein to reach understandings.
Advisor Hochstein’s leadership and the US Administration’s continued efforts to address security problems in the northern arena were both commended by Minister Gallant.
