The much-anticipated Met Gala 2024 has unveiled its dress code, setting the stage for a night of extravagant fashion statements. Scheduled for May 6, this year’s theme, ‘The Garden of Time,’ promises an enchanting exploration of temporality and botanical beauty.

Inspired by a 1962 short story penned by British author J. G. Ballard, ‘The Garden of Time’ transports attendees into a realm adorned with translucent, time-bending blooms. Echoing the narrative’s ethereal setting, celebrities are expected to embrace floral-infused ensembles, paying homage to the theme’s whimsical essence.

In addition to the dress code revelation, the Met Gala’s overarching theme, ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,’ heralds a transformative exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art from May 10 to September 2. Showcasing approximately 250 garments and accessories spanning centuries, the exhibit interweaves motifs of nature, symbolizing fashion’s transience and cyclical resurgence.

Notably, the gala will be co-hosted by Hollywood heavyweight Chris Hemsworth, alongside the illustrious trio of Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, and Bad Bunny, marking a stellar lineup sure to dazzle on the red carpet.

The Met Gala 2023 paid homage to the indelible legacy of fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld, with designers channeling his monochromatic aesthetic and signature style into their creations, underscoring the event’s ongoing celebration of sartorial innovation.
