Anyone Devoted to Saffron Should Boycott 'Pathaan': Former BJP Minister

Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya, a former BJP minister, entered the controversy over the song “Besharam Rang,” which stars Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan from their upcoming movie “Pathaan.”

Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya, a former BJP minister, entered the controversy on Friday about the song “Besharam Rang” from the upcoming movie “Pathaan” which stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.

Jaibhan Singh remarked: “I concur with the government of Madhya Pradesh and the Ayodhya seers that the state should forbid the distribution of this movie. Anyone who loves saffron should avoid seeing this movie. Worse yet, the favourite colour of our seers was picked to defame them with the costumes used in the song in an indecent manner.” On December 12, the creators of “Pathaan” launched “Besharam Rang.”

The former minister urged citizens to avoid watching such movies, saying: “We should not watch such movies. The most powerful tool in a democracy is the boycott.

What point are you attempting to make? Why are you making saffron feel bad?”
The upbeat song, which was written by Vishal-Sheykhar and features lyrics by Kumaar, highlights the hot chemistry between Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan.

“Pathaan,” directed by Siddharth Anand, is slated to open in theatres on January 25, 2023.
