Raju Srivastava’s condition appears to have deteriorated. On August 10, Raju was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi after suffering a heart attack while working out. He had been on a ventilator, but his team described his condition as stable in recent updates. On Wednesday, however, his chief advisor stated that the comedian’s condition has worsened and he is nearly brain dead, according to the doctors treating him.

He collapsed after experiencing severe chest pain. He was taken to AIIMS. After rumours of his death spread, his family stated on Friday urging followers not to believe in fake news and rumours. According to recent updates, he is still being monitored but is improving.


Raju’s advisor Ajit Saxena told a local media outlet on Thursday, “Today morning, doctors informed us that Raju’s brain is not working, and he is almost dead.” his heart is also having issues. Everyone is concerned, and everyone is praying. Even his family is baffled by what is going on.” He went on to say that their entire team is currently praying for a miracle.


Raju is well-known for his roles in films such as Maine Pyar Kiya, Baazigar, Bombay to Goa, and Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya. Despite having previously worked in several films, Raju spent the first half of his career on the periphery. He rose to prominence after appearing on The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2005. He went on to star in the third season of Bigg Boss and perform in stage shows worldwide. He currently serves as the chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Film Development Council.


Mr Srivastava’s family stated on his official Instagram page last week that his condition was “stable” and asked people to “ignore any rumour/fake news being circulated.”


Last week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath spoke with Raju Srivastava’s family to inquire about his health.


The 58-year-old comedian was on a treadmill when he collapsed from chest pain. His trainer took him to AIIMS, where he was revived after receiving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) twice.
