The scenes that took place on the field when Shah Rukh Khan arrived at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium to greet the players of the Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI) before their match on Friday may bring to mind the famous sequence from Atlee Kumar’s Jawan, which starred Bollywood’s Badshah himself, where the characters exclaimed, “Good to go, girls?” and “Ready, chief!” The second season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) will officially begin with this game. After meeting the players on Thursday, SRK, who was scheduled to perform at the WPL 2024 opening ceremony on Friday, left the stadium with a positive attitude. Since the WPL organizers posted the video of their meeting on their official account, it has gone viral, and King Khan is receiving a ton of love from people on the internet.

SRK is seen interacting with players from both teams in the video, offering them congrats on the impending match and giving them warm hugs. He even taught Meg Lanning, the former Australian cricket captain and DC player, how to strike his signature pose, which she did brilliantly to much applause from everyone in attendance. As the video comes to an end, SRK is seen giving Sourav Ganguly, a former captain of India and president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), a hearty embrace. DC’s star batter Jemimah Rodrigues mentioned Chak De! in a group selfie she posted to Instagram, adding, “Coach Kabir Khan came and gave us his blessing before the start of the TATA WPL.” Videos of the gorgeous evening were also shared on the official accounts of the two teams.
