India told the Ministry of Health and Family Affairs on Monday that 4,129 new COVID cases had been reported in the previous 24 hours.

43,415 cases are now active in India, which represents 0.10 percent of all cases. At the moment, the recovery rate is 98.72%.

The number of recoveries increased to 4,688 on the previous day, bringing the total to 4,40,0298.

A daily positivity rate of 2.51% and a weekly positivity rate of 1.61% have been observed for the nation.

The Government of India has been assisting the States and Union Territories by giving them free COVID-19 vaccines as part of the country-wide immunisation campaign.

The Union Government will purchase and provide (free of charge) to States and UTs 75% of the vaccinations being manufactured by the country’s vaccine producers as part of the next phase of the COVID-19 immunisation push.

In all, 217.68 crore vaccine doses—94.78 crore second doses and 20.44 crore precaution doses—have been provided as part of the statewide immunisation campaign, with 11,67,772 of those doses administered in the previous day.
