US Vice President JD Vance has kicked off his first official trip to India since taking office under the Trump administration. He’s scheduled to land in New Delhi at 9:30 am today, accompanied by his wife Usha Vance, their three children, and a packed diplomatic agenda. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will welcome the Vance family at 10:00 am, with a formal meeting and dinner planned at the PM’s official residence, 7, Lok Kalyan Marg.

This visit comes at a critical moment in global geopolitics. Vance’s trip aligns with the United States’ 90-day pause on tariffs for India—an effort seen as part of a larger attempt to ease tensions and push forward long-stalled trade talks.
