CRPF Launches 10,000 km Cross-Country Women's Bike Expedition Across 15 States & 2 UTs

150 women CRPF officers, divided into three teams, will embark on a cross-country journey across India, riding 75 Royal Enfield motorbikes from the Northern, Eastern, and Southern regions.

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is set to launch a remarkable all-women cross-country bike rally spanning 10,000 km, traversing 15 states and two Union Territories. In collaboration with the Ministry of Women and Child Development, this cross-country bike expedition, led by the “Yashaswini” group of CRPF women bikers, aims to celebrate the power of women or ‘Nari Shakti’ in the country.

The expedition will see a total of 150 women CRPF officers, organized into three teams, embarking on this cross-country journey. Riding 75 Royal Enfield (350cc) motorbikes, these teams will commence their journeys from the Northern (Srinagar), Eastern (Shillong), and Southern (Kanyakumari) regions of India.

The grand finale of the expedition is scheduled to take place on October 31, 2023, at the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar (Kevadia), Gujarat, where all three teams will converge.

The Ministry of Women and Child Development revealed, “The expedition will cover approximately 10,000 km, passing through 15 states and 2 Union Territories.”

Throughout their respective journeys, various events are planned in many districts en route. These include interactions with target groups of the “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” (BBBP) initiative, such as school children, college girls, women self-help groups, NCC cadets, children from Child Care Institutions (CCIs), National Youth Cadet Corps (NYKS) members, adolescent girls and boys, Anganwadi workers, and the felicitation of BBBP Champions.

Besides promoting the CRPF’s message of “Desh Ke Hum Hain Rakshak,” the women bikers have incorporated the social message of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ into their campaign. They will proudly display the BBBP logo on their uniforms and banners, championing the cause throughout the country.
