INDIA bloc to decide PM face after polls: Mallikarjun Kharge

Mallikarjun Kharge highlighted that the INDIA bloc would collectively decide on the Prime Ministerial candidate if they win the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge emphasized that the INDIA bloc members will collectively determine the candidate for the position of Prime Minister if they secure victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The INDIA bloc, comprising 28 political parties, has been established as a coalition to challenge the incumbent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Speaking about Chhattisgarh assembly polls, the Congress president said, “We will cross 75 (seats), not less than that. We will provide free education to children from primary to post-graduation and will give cylinders to women. The elected MLAs will decide who will hold the Chief Ministerial post”.

Mallikarjun Kharge addressed a public gathering in Sukma district, where he criticized the BJP, accusing them of deceiving the public through the manipulation of caste and religious sentiments.

“They fooled people in the name of religion and caste. They trick people by saying that they made a woman belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) President. They should know that the Congress party gave the first woman Prime Minister to the country. The Congress empowered the backward classes”, Kharge said.
