Pulwama (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], December 26: In a recent joint operation conducted at Panzu and Gamiraj in Pulwama district, the Indian Army and J-K Police have successfully apprehended three individuals, seizing two pistols and other war-like stores.

According to the Chinar Corps, a Joint Cordon & Search Operation (CASO) was initiated on December 25, 2023, based on specific intelligence inputs. The operation resulted in the arrest of three suspected individuals and the recovery of two pistols along with other war-like materials. The Chinar Corps reported ongoing joint interrogations with the Jammu and Kashmir Police to gather further information.

This development follows a recent incident where the J-K police discovered a substantial cache of arms and ammunition in the Akhnoor sector of the Jammu district. The items were recovered from a package dropped by a drone near the Line of Control (LOC), including a pistol, six improvised explosive devices (IEDs), a grenade, a magazine, bullets, and cash. The successful operations underscore the security forces’ commitment to curbing illicit activities and maintaining peace in the region.
