AAP leader Atishi, a minister in Delhi, made a startling assertion alleging that following the arrest of Delhi’s chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is poised to target her, along with Saurabh Bharadwaj, Durgesh Pathak, and Raghav Chadha.

“I’ve been informed of impending ED raids at our homes, followed by our arrest. The BJP is aiming at the next tier of leadership within the Aam Aadmi Party,” Atishi remarked.

She disclosed being approached by a personal contact with an offer to join the BJP, presenting it as a means to safeguard her political career, or face imminent arrest within a month. Atishi asserted, “A trusted individual informed me that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has resolved to incarcerate every AAP leader, starting from Satyendar Jain, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, and now targeting Arvind Kejriwal. Their sights are now set on me, Raghav Chadha, Durgesh Pathak, and Saurabh Bharadwaj.”

The minister emphasized that the BJP anticipated the AAP’s disintegration after Kejriwal’s arrest, but their apprehension grew to witness opposition parties rallying at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday. “Hence, they are now aiming at the next echelon of leadership,” Atishi added.

She outlined a sequence of events, foreseeing raids on her and her relatives, followed by summonses and eventual imprisonment. Nonetheless, Atishi defiantly declared, “We refuse to cower. Detain all of us, and we will steadfastly support Arvind Kejriwal to the end. Even if you imprison us all, ten more will rise to stand with Kejriwal’s cause.”

Atishi’s claims come in the wake of the ED mentioning her and Saurabh Bharadwaj in court, asserting that Kejriwal had implicated them, suggesting their involvement in an alleged liquor scam. Reacting to this, Atishi dismissed it as old information, contending that the ED’s courtroom disclosure sets the stage for potential action against her and Saurabh.
