Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the head of the Telangana BJP and a member of the Lok Sabha, was detained on Tuesday by the police in the Jangaon district, escalating the conflict between the JP Nadda-led party and the TRS. Visuals demonstrated that there were several BJP members present at the scene when Kumar was loaded into the police car. He was marching in opposition to the Monday arrest of BJP supporters who were holding a demonstration outside the home of Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao’s daughter K Kavitha. She was being questioned about rumours that she was involved in the Delhi liquor fraud, and they wanted answers from her.

Bandi S Kumar, also took to Twitter to condemn the action taken by the police.

Arvind Dharmapuri, a BJP member of parliament, said: “They are utilising police force against BJP activists, which is categorically unacceptable, instead of providing an explanation to the populace. These assaults on Bandi Sanjay, myself, and other BJP members have been rather prevalent in Telangana recently as a result of TRS’s declining support. KCR is a frustrated man today.”

BJP’s Allegations of Involvement in liquor scam

On August 21, a BJP member of the Lok Sabha Parvesh Verma said that K Kavitha served as a go-between for the liquor mafia and the AAP administration. According to a remark from him provided by PTI, “Family members of Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao attended talks on the creation of the Delhi excise policy at a hotel. The Punjabi government used the same strategy with KCR’s family members. In collaboration with Manish Sisodia and Arvind Kejriwal, they created a strategy for Delhi. She vehemently refuted these accusations, nevertheless.

We are a fighting family. We battled in the streets for Telangana. We were present among them. We never return from a fight. If you attempt to discredit us now by making unfounded accusations against us, they will continue to be unfounded. K Kavitha, a TRS MLC, continued, “Nothing is going to come out of it. BJP is toying with the wrong people. She is also expected to sue BJP officials for slander.
