Border Security Force intercepts yet another Chinese-manufactured drone along India-Pakistan border in Punjab

The incident occurred when a quadcopter drone, believed to have entered Indian territory from Pakistan, was spotted moving along the border near Rossey village.

The Border Security Force (BSF) announced on Saturday that they had successfully brought down another drone of Chinese origin near the India-Pakistan International Border in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district. The incident occurred when a quadcopter drone, believed to have entered Indian territory from Pakistan, was spotted moving along the border near Rossey village. BSF troops promptly intercepted the drone during the night hours on Friday, swiftly engaging and disabling it.

According to the BSF, the drone lost control after being hit and crashed into a nearby farming field. The area of impact was quickly secured by BSF personnel. Following a thorough search, at approximately 10:18 pm, the troops recovered a small drone in a partially damaged state from a farming field adjacent to Rossey village.

Identified as a Quadcopter (Model – DJI Mavic 3 Classic, manufactured in China), the recovered drone serves as another testament to the ongoing challenges posed by adversarial drone activity along the India-Pakistan border. The BSF emphasized that their vigilance, coupled with swift and precise action, thwarted potential threats of border destabilization through drone intrusions.
