Confectioners Assemble in Ayodhya to make 45 Tonnes of Laddus

The laddus are being made using pure desi ghee and will be offered as prasad to Ram Lala on the 22nd of this month.

As the nation eagerly anticipates the historic ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Lord Ram in Ayodhya on January 22, a team of skilled confectioners from Varanasi and Gujarat has descended upon the temple town. Their task involves meticulously crafting laddus with pure desi ghee, which will serve as sacred offerings during the grand ceremony.

Initiating the process on January 6, these adept confectioners are working tirelessly, churning out approximately 1200 kgs of laddus daily. A monumental responsibility awaits them, as they are committed to producing an astounding 45 tonnes of these delectable sweets for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony.

The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has garnered global attention, with VVIP guests from India and abroad receiving invitations to witness the historic event.

Despite the event’s significance, some political figures, including Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, have declined the invitation, categorizing it as an affair of the BJP and the RSS.

The rituals for the ‘Pran-Pratishtha’ ceremony of Ram Lalla will commence on January 16, a week before the main event. Varanasi priest Lakshmi Kant Dixit will conduct the primary rituals on January 22, coinciding with the beginning of Ayodhya’s Amrit Mahotsav from January 14 to January 22.

In preparation for the grand ceremony, a 1008 Hundi Mahayagya will be organized, serving thousands of devotees. Ayodhya is transforming into a hub of activity, with tent cities being erected to accommodate the expected influx of devotees for the grand ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony.

The Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust is ensuring arrangements for 10,000-15,000 people, while local authorities are diligently implementing enhanced security measures and logistical arrangements to ensure a seamless and spiritually enriching experience for all attendees. The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony is poised to be a momentous occasion, bringing together devotees and dignitaries to witness this historic event.
