In the Palam neighbourhood, four family members were fatally murdered while they slept in their home. Two sisters, their father, and their grandmother are reportedly among the dead. The police have detained the primary suspect, but the cause of the murder has not yet been determined.

A 35-year-old man was detained on Tuesday in northeast Delhi’s Harsh Vihar neighbourhood on suspicion of murdering his wife. The couple had a quarrel and acquired large debts, according to the police, before the murders. According to police, a guy called them on Sunday around 8:10 AM and claimed to have slain his wife.

Police arrived at the couple’s Sushila Garden home and discovered Archana unconscious on the floor of a room in their second-floor apartment. According to a senior police officer, she was taken to a hospital where doctors confirmed her dead. She was 30.

According to the police, Yogesh Kumar, Archana’s husband, who was at the home, was taken into custody.

At the Harsh Vihar Police Station, he was reportedly detained and charged with murder. According to the first inquiry, the family had taken out loans from several institutions. They got into a violent argument on Sunday, when Yogesh allegedly killed Archana by strangling her.
