President Droupadi Murmu visits Goa for 3 days

Goa welcomed President Droupadi Murmu for a three-day visit, greeted by officials at Dabolim airport, including Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai

On Tuesday, Goa welcomed President Droupadi Murmu on a three-day visit. President Droupadi Murmu arrived at Dabolim airport in the afternoon and was greeted there by officials including Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai.


On her first visit to the state, President Murmu was welcomed with a guard of honor.

President Droupadi Murmu was welcomed upon her arrival at Dabolim Airport, Goa, by Goa’s Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, and Union Minister of State for Tourism and Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shripad Naik. On her first visit to the state, the President received a guard of honor, according to a statement made on X by President Murmu’s official media account.

From August 22 to 24, 2023, Goa will be hosting President Droupadi Murmu for a three-day visit.
“On August 22, 2023, the President will attend a civic celebration that the Goa government is hosting at Raj Bhavan in Goa in her honor. An official announcement from the President’s Secretariat stated that she will also give ‘Sanad’ under the Forest Rights Act to chosen recipients on the occasion.


The document further stated that the President will attend the 34th convocation of Goa University on August 23, 2023, and meet with Goa’s tribal groups there. The Goa Legislative Assembly will hear a speech from President Murmu as well.
