VHP Extends Global Invitation to Ram Devotees for Performing Group Aarti on Consecration of Lord Ram

VHP is actively engaged in reaching out to devotees through public relations efforts between January 1 and 15, coordinating the distribution of invitations and information.

In anticipation of the consecration of the Lord Ram idol in Ayodhya on January 22 next year, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has extended a unique invitation to Ram devotees worldwide. The VHP, in collaboration with the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, is urging devotees to perform group aarti in their homes in front of an image of the Shri Ram Temple.

Vinod Bansal, the national spokesperson for the VHP, announced the initiative, stating that around 10 lakh Ram devotee families across India would receive invitations along with three leaflets encouraging them to consider the temple near them as Ayodhya on January 22. The VHP is actively engaged in reaching out to devotees through public relations efforts between January 1 and 15, coordinating the distribution of invitations and information.

Bansal emphasized the importance of the global participation in this spiritual event, encouraging devotees to conduct group worship rituals in their local temples while harmonizing with the aarti performed in Ayodhya. The initiative seeks to connect devotees worldwide to the auspicious occasion, allowing them to witness the consecration of the grand Ram Temple through live telecast on LED screens.

Previously, the VHP, along with other Hindu organizations, extended invitations to 10 crore families across two lakh villages for an event organized by the Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust. This event is scheduled from January 1 to 15, leading up to the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple on January 22.

Alok Kumar, the chief of VHP, explained that the outreach aims to invite devotees to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi program. Each family will receive haldi akshat (grounded rice mixed with turmeric) from the Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya, along with a photo of Lord Ram and a miniature temple for worship. Kumar urged devotees to consider any temple in their vicinity as Ayodhya and participate in prayers and rituals.

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Ram Mandir, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also been invited to the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ (consecration) ceremony on January 22. The foundation stone for the construction of the Ram Temple was laid by PM Modi on August 5, 2020.

As the global community of Ram devotees eagerly awaits the consecration, the VHP’s virtual initiative is poised to connect hearts and homes in a collective celebration of faith and devotion.
