The perpetrators, whose identities remain unknown, arrived in a SUV with a Punjab license plate and another vehicle from Jammu. Although two additional individuals accompanied the gangster from Jammu, only he was targeted in the attack

Gangster Rajesh Dogra, also known as Mohan Chir, was fatally shot outside a mall on Airport Road in Sector 67, Mohali, on Monday afternoon, according to police reports. The incident, involving five assailants from a rival gang, resulted in Dogra’s death.

Police recovered 19 cartridges from the scene. Dogra, who had recently been released from jail and was involved in multiple cases, was attacked while speaking on the phone and accompanied by two individuals. The attackers, driving a Hyundai Creta and a Toyota Innova, ambushed Dogra as soon as he arrived at the mall in a Mahindra Scorpio.

They swiftly opened fire before fleeing the scene. One of the individuals accompanying Dogra was detained by the police, and a case was filed against the five assailants. Preliminary investigations suggest that the incident was a consequence of ongoing rivalry between two gangs from Jammu.

The perpetrators, whose identities remain unknown, arrived in a SUV with a Punjab license plate and another vehicle from Jammu. Although two additional individuals accompanied the gangster from Jammu, only he was targeted in the attack.

Chandigarh police arrived at the scene and took custody of the gangster’s body, initiating further proceedings. Additionally, the mall is undergoing a thorough search.
