Pune Man Accused Of Murdering Office Colleague Over Alleged Sexual Assault On Relative

A tragic incident in Pimpri-Chinchwad has led to the arrest of a man for his alleged involvement in the murder of a youth over reported sexual assault of his distant relative in Hinjewadi. The accused, identified as Lokendra Kishor Singh (28) from Wakad, has been taken into custody by the Pimpri-Chinchwad police. The victim in this case is Niketan Kunal.

The incident, which occurred on April 5, prompted an FIR to be registered at the Wakad Police Station on Wednesday. According to police reports, Singh, the accused, and Kunal, the victim, were colleagues and worked as sales representatives at a real estate company. They were also acquainted with each other. Singh’s distant relative, who is also a colleague at the company, alleged that on April 3, Kunal and she attended a party together. Later that night, Kunal reportedly brought her to his flat and allegedly sexually assaulted her while both were intoxicated. The following day, she informed her brother, who is Singh’s relative, about the incident.

The accused, along with his relative sister, went to confront Kunal at his flat. In a tragic turn of events, Singh allegedly struck Kunal’s head with a brick when the latter opened the door for them. The severe injuries sustained by Kunal proved fatal, leading to his death, as confirmed by police officials.
