Mukhtar Ansari’s younger son, Umar Ansari, was present during the post-mortem examination conducted at Rani Durgavati Medical College. The mortal remains of gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari were laid to rest on Saturday morning. His body arrived at his residence in Gazipur district, Uttar Pradesh, late on Friday night, with heavy police deployment organized by the city’s administration for the funeral.

Due to a delay in receiving the body, the last rites could not be conducted on Friday night and were scheduled for the following morning, as stated by Sibgatullah Ansari to media sources.

Mukhtar Ansari, who was serving a sentence for murder, passed away in a Banda hospital due to a cardiac arrest. Although his family alleged that he was poisoned by the local administration, the post-mortem examination confirmed death by cardiac arrest.

Umar Ansari insisted on a postmortem examination at Delhi’s AIIMS, which was denied. He expressed hope that a judicial probe would address their suspicions of foul play, emphasizing their belief that his father’s death was not natural but an orchestrated murder.
