Mukhtar Ansari's Remains Were Interred, Following Which The Post-Mortem Examination Unveiled The Circumstances of His Demise

The death of Mukhtar Ansari, who was serving a murder sentence, occurred in a Banda hospital where he was incarcerated

Mukhtar Ansari, the gangster-politician, was laid to rest on Saturday morning, as confirmed by his elder brother Sibgatullah Ansari. The delay in the last rites was due to the body’s arrival time, necessitating the ceremony to be postponed until the next morning. Sibgatullah Ansari requested prayers for Mukhtar Ansari’s soul.

The death of Mukhtar Ansari, who was serving a murder sentence, occurred in a Banda hospital where he was incarcerated. Initially, his family alleged that the local administration had administered him “slow poison,” leading to his demise. However, the post-mortem examination concluded that he died of a cardiac arrest, dismissing claims of poisoning.

An undisclosed source overseeing the post-mortem revealed that the cause of Mukhtar Ansari’s death was indeed a heart attack, according to the report. The autopsy, conducted by a team of five doctors at Rani Durgavati Medical College, was witnessed by Mukhtar Ansari’s younger son, Umar Ansari.

Following his death, a judicial probe was initiated by a three-member team to investigate the circumstances surrounding Mukhtar Ansari’s demise. Despite Umar Ansari’s request for the postmortem examination to be conducted at AIIMS in Delhi, the demand was denied. Umar Ansari expressed hope that the probe would address the family’s concerns, insisting that his father’s death was not natural but a premeditated murder.

Mukhtar Ansari was admitted to the hospital at 8.25 pm on Thursday, where a team of nine doctors attended to him, albeit unsuccessfully, as he passed away during treatment. Sibgatullah Ansari criticized the quality of treatment his brother received, alleging negligence.
