PM Modi Scheduled to Address Rallies in Jammu and Kashmir, Confirms BJP Chief Ravinder Rana

Ravinder Rana, Bharatiya Janata Party J-K President on Monday said that PM Modi will address a public meeting in Udhampur on April 12 and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath will address a rally in Kathua on April 10.

Ravinder Rana, the President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jammu and Kashmir, announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will headline a public gathering in Udhampur on April 12, while Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is slated to address a rally in Kathua on April 10.

Rana highlighted the widespread excitement surrounding the Lok Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the active participation of the region in the election campaign led by PM Modi and the BJP. He noted the anticipation among the youth from Udhampur and Samba areas for Adityanath’s rally in Kathua.

Additionally, Rana disclosed that Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will address a rally in Basohli on April 15, further bolstering BJP’s campaign efforts in the region.

Furthermore, Rana mentioned that prominent BJP leaders Anurag Thakur, Shahnawaz Hussain, and Home Minister Amit Shah are also scheduled to address rallies shortly, reflecting the party’s growing presence in Jammu and Kashmir.

Commenting on the opposition parties, Rana asserted that the BJP is gaining significant traction across the entire region, overshadowing competitors like Congress, which lack popular support.

In a parallel development, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) recently announced its candidates for three Lok Sabha seats in Kashmir. Notably, former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti will contest from the Anantnag-Rajouri constituency, facing Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) leader Ghulam Nabi Azad in what promises to be a keenly contested electoral battle.

The Lok Sabha polls in Jammu and Kashmir are scheduled in the first five phases on various dates, with the counting of votes slated for June 4.
