PM Narendra Modi Reveals He Is Already Busy Planning For 2047 Elections: "You Got Stuck On 2029"

The Prime Minister also celebrated the significant increase in the number of startups in the country, noting their dispersion across various districts, reflecting the nationwide scope of the startup movement

In his inaugural public appearance following the announcement of Lok Sabha 2024 election dates, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his commitment to securing victory in the upcoming elections. During a media conclave session titled ‘Redefining Bharat’, PM Modi commended the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for its resolute efforts in combating corruption, taking a swipe at opposition parties for their concerns regarding the agency’s robust actions.

He also delved into several critical topics such as startups, the digital revolution, women’s empowerment, and the global initiative ‘One Earth One Health’. PM Modi projected the next five years as a period of stability, capability, and strength for India. He outlined ambitious plans for India’s infrastructure, railways, defence exports, and space sector, asserting that groundwork for these initiatives has already commenced. He pledged to provide updates on these endeavours in future appearances at the conclave.

While reverting to remarks on preparations for the 2029 general polls, PM Modi said, “You got stuck on 2029, I am preparing for 2047. He also spoke about his dedication to hard work adding, “Whenever I go to a conclave like this, you expect me to give headlines, but I am a person who works on deadlines, and not headlines.”

The Prime Minister also celebrated the significant increase in the number of startups in the country, noting their dispersion across various districts, reflecting the nationwide scope of the startup movement. “Till 10 years ago, there were hardly 100 startups. Now there are 1.25 lakh startups registered. The startup movement in India is not just about numbers, but the fact that they are located in more than 600 districts, which accounts for 90 per cent of the country’s area,” said Modi.

Additionally, PM Modi highlighted the government’s focus on the northeastern states, revealing a substantial number of visits by ministers to the region since 2014. He underscored his personal commitment to the region, surpassing the combined visits of all previous Prime Ministers.
