Anjali Malik, a 22-year-old student at Panjab University, was fatally stabbed by her maternal uncle on Saturday at her home in AG Colony, Sector 41. Satbir Singh, who had violated his release conditions in a 2008 double homicide case in Jhajjar, Haryana, was named as the suspect. Anjali was stabbed many times in the neck, and the GMSH-16 pronounced her dead.

Anjali was working toward her degree at PU while also getting ready for the NEET test. According to rumours, Satbir objected to Anjali’s close approach to her male pals.

The victim’s mother Nirmala Devi and younger brother Deepak (20) were reportedly present in the home when the murder occurred at 5.30 in the morning, according to the police. Before murdering Anjali, Satbir shut the door to Deepak’s room from the outside.

Anjali’s mother said that she was making tea in the kitchen when Satbir stabbed her daughter. Additionally, she asserted that Satbir does not own a cell phone. After the crime, Satbir ran away from the scene. Since August 18, he had been residing with the family.
Many issues still need to be clarified. Anjali’s mother said that on August 18, Satbir, who is doing time for a double homicide, unexpectedly showed up at her home. She said that she was missing his phone number. We’ll shortly question the victim’s mother. The man had at least two stab wounds to the neck, according to a senior police officer.

According to sources, “Satbir had killed his wife, Sushma Devi, and mother-in-law, Kamla Devi, in his hamlet, Surha, in Jhajjar in 2008 with a sharp-edged knife. For the double homicide, he was found guilty in February 2011. He skipped the bond after being freed on bail almost two years ago.

Deepak told the police that he had been sound asleep when his sister’s crying could be heard. He claimed that when he attempted to exit his room, the door was locked from the outside. His mother flung open the door for him. Deepak was injured on his left arm after he shattered his room’s glass window when he awoke to Anjali’s screaming.

Inspector Eram Rizvi, the Sector 39 police station’s Station House Officer (SHO), stated: “The corpse was given to the family following the postmortem. Although Satbir is now missing, an inquiry is ongoing. Jagdish Malik, Anjali’s father, was murdered in a car accident in Hisar, Haryana, three months ago.

He worked with the Accountant General (AG), Haryana, as a senior auditor. A murder case was reported to the Sector 39 police station.
